I have a selection of data from Jan 01 through to Dec 92, I now want to show the data from Dec 92 to Jan 01, if I do a normal sort I end up with all the Jans together and then the febs etc. I want to keep them in month/year sequence but have them sorted oldest date to newest date. How do I do it?

Try formatting your date column as Date.

Problem resolved

I solved the problem by converting the date format to numerical ie 01.01.2000 and then sorted . This way they remained in sequence.

Dominic, using a new column enter the formula,
=A1+0, where A1 is your first date value listed
below. Copy this formula down to the last row
of your data set. Sort on this new datevalue.
