sort block of formulas

i have a block of data that are formula referencing data on other sheets. In autocalc mode, I try to sort the records, manually or through code and it sorts for a second and goes back to its original state. If i leave it on manual calc it works fine. Because the info is updating i need to keep it on autocalc. IS there any one who know how to fix this problem. Most of the formulas are using the index and match functions.

Adam:
you could try to insert a column, copy the formulas, paste as values into the new column, sort the range based on the new column, then delete the new column.
Seems like there should be an easier way, but I don't know what it is.
