Protection of formulas under Tools

Is it possible to protect the functions under the tools
protection menu? I can protect the spreadsheet, but not
the formulas.

are you asking...?
are you asking how to protect JUST the cells with formulas and not the one without? if so, the easiest way would be to select all the cells on the sheet, right-click them, and choose 'format cells'. on the 'protection' tab UNcheck both the 'locked' and 'hidden' options. now go back to your sheet and select only the cells that have formulas in them (using the control key to make multiple non-contiguous selections) and right-click one of them again. under the format cells --> protection tab, check the 'locked' and 'hidden' options.
last, protect your sheet the way you have been (tools --> options...)
