Displayed formulas - displaying column names

Posted by Lise on March 22, 2001 3:51 PM

I am looking for a way to translate formulae into english. Instead of displaying E30+25, I would like to see End Date+25. I think I can write formulae to do this, but I am working with completed spreadsheets.

I am not a "power user" and would appreciate any help y'all can give me.

Lise, if E30 is in a column labelled "End Date"
and "Accept labels in formulas" check box on the
Calculation tab of the Tools Options... menu command
you can use ='End Date'+25 .

Thanks... but what about finished spreadsheets

Thanks for the tip... but is there anyway to change formulae already in place?

Thanks again.

Hi Lise

Supposing you have some formulas like;
=A1+1,A10+1,A100+1
In column B. Higlight Column B and go to:

Edit>Repalce: A? WITH: End Date

Then Repalce: A?? WITH: End Date

Then Repalce: A??? WITH: End Date
