Current date in Excel Invoice

Opening the template for a invioce shows the current date. save it as something else, and whenever it is opened, it shows the current date. Why does it not show the date it was saved?

That question was asked a while ago. Here's my answer to it:

Basically, there's VBA in the template that updates the date for some reason. I don't know why it does (it was designed by a third-party contractor, not by Microsoft), but I found a solution for it. It's not pretty, but it works.
