copying dates

When I copy a date from one worksheet and paste it in another the date changes from 3/30/01 to 3/29/97. I've tried Paste Special value only and I've checked the date formats.

Danny, the 2 worksheets are using different date
systems. Checkout the "1904 date system" checkbox
on the Tools Options... Calculation tab. Before
you Copy/Paste these settings should be the same.
Alternately, you could copy text versions of the
dates (see the TEXT() function) and then after
pasting them into the destination worksheet
convert them back to date values.

The difference of four years suggests to me that one sheet is using the MAC version and the other is using the PC version of DATE .Try using help and searching for MAC or 1904

Thanks for the help. They were using different date systems.
