Space problems

I have a spreadsheet with 1000 rows of data. Every cell has a space before the text making it impossible to sort with other data lists I need to merge. Is there a quick fix?

Is the data in a single column? If so, try this:

Highlight the column, click on the Data menu and choose Text To Columns. Choose "Fixed width", click Next. Then use your mouse to put a break line after the first character space. Then click finish. This will break your column in to two separate columns and leave the space out.
