Protecting cells

I am creating an Excel spreadsheet. I want to have the title and column headings protected from the end user changing them. How do I just protect a certain number of cells without doing the entire worksheet??

Select all the cells that will be used in your workbook. Click on Format-Cells-Protection and uncheck the Locked option. Select the cells you want to protect- Format-Cells-Protection, select the Locked option. Then click on Tools-Protection-Protect Sheet, enter a password if you want.
