matching field on 2 xcell documents

i have 2 xcell documents
1st-list of userid's
2nd-list of documents viewed and the userid's that have viewed the documents

what i would like to do is take the 2nd list use the first list to find out who is viewing what documents ... is there a way to do this w/ xcell? or am i not providing nuff info
(im kinda thinking that access might be better suited to carry out this task)
