Select a single cell as the paste destination (nt)
Try using Advanced Filter and "copy to another location"
Advanced filter doesn't seem to allow me to paste?
The location I want to copy to already has data - I want to overwrite this data and can't figure out how to do it.
Example:
I filter on a code in Column D, and want to copy (or cut) the qty in Column B and paste it into Column C - which originally has a qty of "0"
A B C D
1 cat 245 0 AN
7 lion 333 0 AN
12 bear 385 0 AN
22 bee 22 0 AN
Thanks!
Chris
...instead, type =B:B in the 1st displayed column C
cell and copy down.
Re: Don't Copy/Paste... Thanks, works but.....
Thanks Mark - it worked beautifully - but I omitted mentioning that I then need to delete the data from the row I copied from, thus deleting my reference (sorry) - any suggestion? ...instead, type =B:B in the 1st displayed column C

Unfilter and then Copy/Paste Special Values on
column C. Thanks Mark - it worked beautifully - but I omitted mentioning that I then need to delete the data from the row I copied from, thus deleting my reference (sorry) - any suggestion? : ...instead, type =B:B in the 1st displayed column C
Thanks Mark - works GREAT!! (nt)
