Ignoring Blank Rows When plotting a chart

I have an Excel spreadsheet that will have a variable number of rows taking data - I want to be able to create a chart that can take data from rows 1-260, but if there is only data in rows 1-150 will only plot those. At the moment if any rows are blank it just doesnt plot them, but still scales the axis as if there was 20 entries so i end up with a blank section at the end! Is there any way to avoid this?

You could try creating your chart as normal using a few rows of data and then setting this as the default chart through Chart, Chart Type, User Defined, Add..., Set as Default...

From this point you can select however many rows contain data and press F11 on the keyboard to produce this default chart based on the cell / rows selected.
