Is there a way to have cells that are empty or zero value omitted from the charted range on an Excel Scatter Chart? If not, is there any chart type which would allow you to leave out the empty or zero value cells that are within your charted range?

Empty cells are not plotted if after selecting the
chart area you choose the Tools | Options... menu
command, click the Options Chart tab and select
"Plot empty cells as: Not plotted (leave gaps)".
As for 0 values, instead of plotting your values
directly plot the values produced by =IF(ref,ref,#N/A).
For example, if A1:A8 contains {"X";1;3;0;5;0;6;7}
the enter =IF(A2,A2,#N/A) into cell B2 and Copy
down.
