cutomizing charts

I am pulling my hair trying to make a chart. The twelve months are on the x axis. I want two STACKED bars for each month and excel will only allow me to have one. I am emphasizing stacked because it will give me infinite bars for a single x value when they aren't stacked. But only one stacked bar.
Can anyone help?? :~(

Amy, stacked charts cannot be produced in combination
with any other type of chart including another stacked
chart. Each additional series is another "block"
on an existing stack. There isn't sufficient
information included in the SERIES() function to
indicate which stack (if there was more than 1)
should receive the additional data.
