I have two columns of data of different lengths (more rows in one column). I need to compare the second column to the first and align (by row) similar cells. How can you do this???

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Hi There,

Welcome to the board..

Copy this into your third column..

=IF(ISNA(MATCH(B1,$A$1:$A$15,0)),"",B1)

Paste the shorter list into the first column and then the longer list in the second column.

You might want to extend the range also ",$A$1:$A$[to last cell of second column],0"..

Hope this works..

Have a good weekend..

Jakob
