format for 3 letters and 5 numbers

How do I format a cell so that it will accept only 3 letters followed by 5 numbers.

You should stick with your original thread.

If nobody has responded to the original thread you can simply bump it to the top of the board by repying with the word bump or whatever you desire.

I saw this post earlier and don't have an adequate answer.
