CHART - how do you make the little legend symbol larger?

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to do so. I just tried it in Excel 2002 and wasn't able to at any rate. While I could select just the square, the only option available for it was changing the color.

Von Pookie - I'm using 2000 and experienced the same thing. I'm using several small charts and the symbol is so small it's hard to tell what it represents.

Anyway thanks for looking...

It can be done but you may not like the side effects. Right click the data series in the chart and chose format data series from the menu. There is an option to change the marker size but it affects both the marker in the chart and the one in the legend. I don't know of a way to change just one other than font size in the legend.

The markers show up the same size in the legend as they are in the chart.

If it's a column or bar chart, shich shows a little colored box next to the legend entry, increasing the legend font size will increase the size of the little box.

What I Did was to create a blank legend series for my chart make this icon "No fill" and increase the font size. The icons for all the other series will increase but their font size will stay the same. it worked for me. hope it helps.
