Hi,

I have a VB Script searched on the web for getting the OS information. I would like to have this information in excel cells sequentially in the rows with some addition of VBA codes.

Thanks
The code is:

Code:
'// ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'//
'// NAME: osinfo.vbs
'//
'//
'// Last Update: 15th January 2010
'//
'// Comment: VBS example file for use as an OS info gathering template.
'//
'// NOTE: Provided as-is - usage of this source assumes that you are at the
'// very least familiar with the vbscript language being used and
'// the tools used to create and debug this file.
'//
'// In other words, if you break it, you get to keep the pieces.
'//
'// Also, if you want to use this on W2K, prepare to hack, as this
'// was really designed with XP+ systems in mind.

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
It's too large of a program to be re-writing for you. I think you could edit the output by changing all of the wscript.echo lines. Print to a file instead. Then you can examine the text file output to see how hard it is to extract to Excel - possibly adding tab characters as a delimiter between the name/value pairs will make it easier to break into cells.

Where did you get this code from? Have you considered contacting the author?

I am new to the VBA as well as for VBS, actually i am searching for the method to get the information of Hardware details in the excel cells, like the details mentioned in the script.

If such infromation can be taken to excel cells (thru' VBA), like PID etc and all the complete info given in the script, my purpose shall be solved.

Anticipatory thanks!

What do you need a PID key for? And why must it be in Excel?

Actually i require all the outputs coming out of the VB Script pasted above in the excel, and that too with the Use of some VBA codes. This output also includes PID key also asit is an output of the above VB Script.

Please assist in doing the same, as i need to have the output of this VB Scipt in excel, without using the VB Script file, i.e. Need a VBA code in excel which shall populate the same output of this script in Excel cells.
