I need help please.....:)

I would like to have the option to insert a checkmark but I also want to autosum the checkmarks.

I am assuming that I have to assign a numermic value to a checkmark???

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
If you right click a CheckBox and select properties you can select a linked cell. That cell will display True or False. You can coerce that to a numeric value using for example

=N(C1)

Any help :)

perhaps there are far better way than this, but this is how I approach the problem...

To get the check mark, I would set a condition as to place Char(256) if condition is true, then format this column to windings. next in the place where you want the sum of check marks, place this formula:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(C1:C159=CHAR(254)))

Assumption is C column is where check marks are.

I agree with Jeffrey's suggestion to use Marlett checkboxes, primarily because they are on the data layer of the worksheet. Then you can use a simple COUNTIF formula to tally them.
