I think im going nuts

How do you sort your data largest to smallest based on the result of a formula? Ie look at values not formula

At present when I sort the data it is sorting by the cell reference

Thanks

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
Hi.

Excel normally does sort on the formula result, but what may happen is that the act of sorting may change the results for some or all of the formulas.

Try turning calculation to manual to see if this is your problem.

Set calculation to manual, do the sort, look at the results (which should be based on formula result), then calculate (either using f9, or by setting calculation back to automatic) and if the results then change, then that's your problem.
