Hi there,

I have seen in Excel 2010 that there is a Possion Distribution function that I want to use (POISSON.DIST) and I want to use it in relation to the following article...

So how would I set up the formula to calculate the % probability of each team scoring a specified number of goals in the match?

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
You can find a page for calculating, or a spreadsheet at:

Exact Binomial and Poisson Confidence Intervals
http://statpages.org/confint.html

If the event rate =4
Prob of 2 goals = 0.1465
Prob of 3 goals = 0.1953
Prob of 2 to 3 goals = 0.3418

The first two can be calculated, and the sum of these equals the third prob above.
