After making a posting, how much time do I have to edit the Post? My profile shows I have "edit" privileges, but no "Edit" icon appears on my postings after so many hours..

No it isn't but it is not uncommon to have a short period for editing posts on message boards. If a longer time is allowed it can lead to confusion, especially on fast moving boards like this one.

If you can no longer edit your post you can always post a reply with an amendment or clarification.
