"Solved Option" for Threads

this would be extremely useful for this forum. Is there an option to include this under the thread tools for either OPs or experts? other forums do have them and it helps filter out things like "new posts" pages.

As the OP, you can always edit/alter the Title you give a post to show it's solved to your satisfaction. Most posters on here don't really wan't resolved queries closed to new answers once someone has put in an acceptable answer because many of us enjoy trying to come up with different solutions as well, or just learn from some od the replies that might already be in place.

I'm sure you'll have seen from the many brilliant answers on this forum that there's usually more than one way of solving someones query, and for some of us thats how we've learnt to use Excel in a far more efficient way
 
This topic seems to come up every few months. If you Search the "About This Board" forum, you will see various discussions on the topic, and the reasons why it is the way it is (look at the posts by the Moderators/Administrators).

Regarding "new" threads, under the Quick Links drop down menu, there is an option to view all unanswered threads. I think it looks back a day or two.
