MS Access latency across distance

I have an Access DB on a local drive that runs fine for me, but slowly for people in other parts of the country. If I place it on their server, it runs fine for them, but slowly for me.

Is there a way around this lag issue? I tried splitting the DB and giving them the front-end, but that only mildly enhanced efficiency.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
I think you both need to read this by MVP Albert D. Kallal. Access is NOT good for running across a WAN and if you aren't using a split database you run a BIG risk of losing all of your data AND the rest of your database as well.

I solved a problem like this a few years ago with a cheap (well fairly cheap) and cheerful solution where we put a spare machine in the same office as the server and then used PCAnywhere from a remote location to access that machine and run MSAccess on it. It worked well for a few years before it was replaced with an SQL Server solution.
Hope this helps
