Hi
I'm using Excel 2007 and I want to do the following (I've uploaded a screen shot to better visualize what I was trying 2 do when getting the error message)
Screen Shot:

What I'm trying to do is to copy the format of the very first table above and apply it on all the remaining 4 unformatted tables (using the Paste Special Command of copying formats) so what I did was:

1) Selecting the first table and then copying it
2) I pressed and hold the "CTRL" key to select the second, third and fourth table and now that stupid message showed up
3) I clicked on the OK of that message 2 make it go away and I continued selecting my remaining table
4) Now, when I click on the Paste button --->Paste Special, I get a "Paste Special" dialog box different from what I'm expecting

I wish if someone can help me with this issue

P.S. Office 2007 is fully updated with SP2

Thanks

Not everything I do at work revolves around Excel. Only the fun parts.
if I read correctly, you get the message while you are selecting the tables, and have not done anything else,

right click on the tab and view code. see if there is something being done when any of the cells you are selecting is selected.

also the different paste special screen. please attach a screen shot

I just realized I only have 2007 SP1, but the copy and multiple selection paste special format works on mine

First, sorry 4 writing late - I just wanted 2 make sure of what I'm going 2 report right now:

For some unknown reasons, i wasn't able to reproduce the error message again after i posted the problem here on this forum. I don't know why but I tried so hard doing it so many times but the error went away and never came back. All what i have done is closing all the Excel files i have opened and restarted Excel again. Thank you for your time writing to me anyway

I just started getting that same error with Excel 2007. I am only selecting one cell when I receive the error. Usually it's after I have already copied a different cell. I've tried ESC and closing and reopening. It is not confined to just one doc. Could still just be user error but i don't think so. Is this maybe a known error with Excel 2007? That would be hard to believe since i've been using it since, oh gee 2007 and on multiple computers. Any help would be appreciated.
