Returning List based on flag with formula

I know I have seen this and just can't think of the right search terms to find it, but basically I want to build an array formula so that it will be dynamic to always return a list of names based on a flag. So basically I have column A and B like this:

And I want to set up a formula that will return the names based on Y in column B:

I would work throught this and figure it out, but it is pretty urgent and haven't had any luck int eh alst 10 minutes.

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Have you considered using advanced filter? Put your advanced filter results on a seperate worksheet then attach a macro to that worksheet that would run each time the worksheet is actived so it will always be up to date.

Yes I have thought about that and would probably use autofilter in the macro, but trying to stay away from macros because I know it can be done with a formula.

=COUNTIF(B2:B10,"Y")

B3:

Control+shift+enter, not just enter...

Ok, so I am going to ask a really stupid question because I would love to understand how this works.

Should the B2 & B3 referred below where the formula will be entered actuall be C2 & C3? Or do they go on a different worksheet? I am having problems understanding the formula if the data being analyzed is aready in A2:B10.

Change B2 to E2, B3 to E3...

In the formula, replace $B$3:B3 with $E$3:E3.
