Borders-copy-paste method for showing worksheet?

I saw a link in a post by PeterSSS to this thread: http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2198045&postcount=2
which gives what seem to be very simple steps for copying worksheet data to the forum.
I have seen it used (or at least statements to the effect that it worked), but it did not work when I tried it in the Test area.
Did a recent change to the board disable the borders-copy-paste method?
Does it require a specific version of Internet Explorer (I'm constrained to IE6 for reasons my IT department has failed to explain to my satisfaction)?
Is there an option that I need to turn on in the forum editor window?
Thanks for any advice,
Cindy

AFAIK should be OK with IE6. You do need a setting that is not mentioned in that post I linked to though. There are 2 ways.

1. Quick Links|Edit Options|Message Editor Interface (right down the bottom)|Enhanced Interface ..., or

2. (This is what I use) Quick Links|Edit Options|Message Editor Interface|Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls, but then when you want to use Borders/Copy/Paste, click the 'Switch Editor Mode' button at the top right of the Quick Reply window.

Trying again...it looked OK in the reply entry dialog, but lost it when I submitted.

Is the functionality disabled in the Test area?

It is disabled in this forum. You need to test in the Test Here forum.

In my earlier post I forgot to say "Thank you" for your kind comment. :)
