Hello all,
I am responsible for tracking training for numerous individuals. I have to track individual events that have varying sustainment intervals. There is a roster sheet for all events for each individual (it holds event details and a signature line) and a tracking log sheet that indicates deficiencies with color for each individual(At a glance). What I would like to do is input the date performed on the roster sheet and have an M for mastery populate in the corresponding month on the at a glance sheet.
For example: On sheet 3 (Roster and detail sheet) James Doe must replace a control line. The date is cell G-6. If I enter a date of Feb 10 2016 I would like excel to add an M for mastery to sheet 2 AF-8 (Feb 2016). If I enter March 10 2016 on sheet 3 I would like an M entered into cell AG-8 (Mar 2016). It also only should correlate with the assigned sheet as I have sheets for numerous individuals(2 sheet per individual all in one book). I hope this makes sense, I am not great with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi txsteve18,

Would be helpful in you share a small sample of your data with expected results (manually entered).
