[TD="class: xl68, bgcolor: transparent, colspan: 28"]I am analysing a sales order book on a week to week basis. The Sales order reference remains the same but order values can change daily based on shipped/cancelled and amended orders.
Can anybody suggest the best way to reconcile these differences please? I have used an if statement but it has still taken me four hours to find the differences :-(

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
if you can bear it
paste one in new sheet 1 new book, the other in sheet 2, on three then compare with =IF(Sheet1!A1<>Sheet2!A1,"1","")

drag to compare the cells to see where there are differences

Hey, thankyou so much for replying. Yes I tried a similar thing using =IF(AND(A3=D3)*AND(B3=E3),"true") by copying the Sales order ref and value only over from both weeks. Here I was telling Exel to show me the order numbers that were both exactly the same in both weeks so no movement. It worked a treat but still then took me a few hours to analyse the differences which were order amendments and good movements. I am new to Excel too so I know there must be an easier way to then ldentify the differences :-/
