Hi,
Like a lot of people I have experienced the problems with the Microsoft update that affected the ActiveX Control buttons. And in the short term it was fixed by deleting the .exd files in the Temp directory.
But, I am now experiencing the same problem with a twist.
If I create a file in Excel 2007, it works fine when opened in Excel 2010 but if I create a file in Excel 2010 it will not work in Excel 2007, the buttons do not respond to a mouse click.
The files worked fine on both version of Excel prior to the Microsoft update.
I have cleared out the .exd files on both machines, emptied the recycle bin and re-booted the computers but still the problem persists.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem, or is it just me?
Would the same MS update issue affect “Forms Control” buttons, I am considering changing over to Forms controls to get around the issue.
any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
cheers
Paul.
