I have 2 workbooks, Book1 and Book2. on Book2 I'd like to click a button that will copy info from Book1 and paste it ito Book2's "Cover" sheet.

In Book1: the info that I want is in column E. This info is 0 to 20 five digit numbers (concatenated from an earlier action), all separated by at least one space (but could be as many as 9 spaces). In column A, from A4:A1000 is a unique no.

In Book2: when I click the button on Sheet2, I want the macro to populate the five digit numbers on to the "cover" sheet into Merged cells A17:C17 through A25:C25, BUT ONLY IF THE CELLS ARE BLANK. In cell K5 is that same unique no. that's used in Book 1. That's how, in Book 1, the code will know how to go to the row with the same unique no. (in Column A) on Book 1 and gather the 5 digit numbers from its column E.

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
