Here is a formula:
Code:
=IF(A1<10,"A","B")

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Test:
Code:
=IF(E8<C2*0.1,"True","False")

I'm expecting this to be OK because the < sign is followed by a number
=IF(C8<6,1,2)

I'm expecting this to fail because the < sign is followed by a letter
=IF(C8<H8,1,2)

and that's when you need the alternative (eg space after)
=IF(C8< H8,1,2)
