Excel 2007: XLSB Vs XLSX

Hi,

Can anyone give me an overview of the differences between the two formats, some advantages and disadvantages?
 
Generally xlsb is a better format, the workbook is strored as Binary, this makes calculations faster and workbooks much smaller. However, it is not generally compatible with other sources, so, for example you need to import your spreadsheet into another program, it's probably not the best option.

xlsx is the standard format that doesn't offer the efficiency benefits of xlsb but offers wider compatibility for interactions with other programs.

FWIW I always use xlsb unless there's a particular reason not to
