auto start excel file on specific time

Dear All,

I have a delivery time programm (clients to be delivered the next day) which I would like to run every night at a specific time.
Is there any MS tool to trigger the Excel file??
Or do we have to use the "old" batch file ( if yes, pls send example)?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi

I launch a bat file from the Task Scheduler to open an Excel file each day without problems.

Scheduler
Run: "C:\Documents and Settings\Fred Bloggs\Desktop\My_Macros.Bat"
Start in: "C:\Documents and Settings\Fred Bloggs\Desktop\My_Macros.Bat"

Don't forget to set scheduled time.

Bat file (My_Macros.Bat) on desktop
start excel "C:\Documents and Settings\Fred Bloggs\My Documents\My Macros\My_Macros.xls"


To start a specific macro you can add a call in a workbook_open event in the ThisWorkbook of the VBA project.

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Run "MyMacro"
End Sub
