Filtering more than 10,000 lines

I have created a spreadsheet that has in excess of 10,000 lines. When I try to filter the filtering stops at 10,000 lines. Could someone please let me know how to get around this problem? Many Thanks

The dropdown will only show 10000 items. If you need more you can add an auxilliary column to restrict the number of values.

For instance, if the column contains Text entries, you could have an auxiliary column with the first letter of each word. First filter on that column, after which filtering in the original column will be easier and you will likely see all possible values.
