So I am entering multiple series' of information (Jan, Feb, March...) and I was wondering if anybody knew of a hotkey command to autocomplete highlighted cells with the remaining information in the sequence?

Thanks.

You know you can double click the fill handle to fill in those items to th elast used contiguous row of an adjoining column.

Example, with data in A1:A12 and Jan, Feb, Mar in B1:B3 respectively, selecting B1:B3 and double-clicking the fill handle will fill in all 12 months from B1:B12.

Well, in the above scenario with cells B1, B2, and B3 populated, you would need to tell Excel how far to fill down the month series, presumably by having selected range B1:B-whatever.

Then with that range selected and B1:B3 already populated with January, February, and March, using the keyboard you could do

Alt+E+Enter+I+S+F+Enter

Not exactly a "hot key" in the singular sense but only requiring the keyboard. You could always assign a shortcut key to a fill macro as another option.

It worked when I tested it before posting. Try experimenting by releasing the Alt key before the first Enter (and then hold down the Alt key for the other keys) or bypass the first Enter altogether. It'll work one way or the other, the way I posted works on my US version 2003 on XP.
