It's the first time i have to design a chart with date related elements...

I have a list of items which occurs at different dates during a project.
I need to place them on a graphic so we can see when them happen (kind of like a timeline) and i don't know which type of graphic i should use, nor how to enter the axis values.

- I have the start and ending dates in 2 different cells
- I have a list of cell (2 columns) containing in column 1 the dates, and in column 2 the name of the event

What i would like to get is something like this (sorry for the cheap ASCII chart! :P):

^
| 1 2 3 4
|________________________________>
start date..............................end date

Wow, this seems to be way to advanced for what i need!

In fact, what i need is a graphics that would combine the following data:

| Week # | Total | Modif |
| Week 1 | 210 | No modification |
| Week 2 | 156 | New item added |
| Week 3 | 200 | No modification |
...

For 30 weeks

So i would have the Weeks as X axis, the Total as Y (with a line from week to week) and the Modifications as labels in overlay to "justify'" the fluctuations in the graphic.

I don't know if it's possible.. i don't even know if this description is clear enough! lol
