Is there a specific vba command that can be used that would automatically run a macro when a file close is perfomed in excel?

An example of where I need to do this is to properly shut down some equipment before the excel file closes - or else it locks up.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Code:
Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean)
Application.Run "Macro Name"
End Sub

Put this in the WORKBOOK code, not a module or Worksheet...

right click the excel icon in top left corner next to file - view code
paste.

OR, just name your macro Auto_Close
