Convert XLA to XLS

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.

I have similar problem where Excel converted the main file into xlam format instead of my UDF file,
the file does not open, neither can be Added in,
Mainfile was a large 2MB file and now only reduced to 12 KB
Is there anyway to recover the original file / restore to xls format.

Thanks,
Imran
