Graphs..Help Please

How do you decrease the space between two data series in a graph? I have already tried "format data series" the "options". My options tab is all grayed out. Help Please!
 

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.

Am I correct in assuming that this is a bar chart you're plotting?
Could you please show us a sample of the source data?
