Is there anyway I would be able to know when a worksheet has been updated by using a macro?

I have 73 files within a folder which are either updated from Monday - Wednesday (Or sometimes not even updated) by managers.

Is there anyway I could automatically find out whether the files have been updated and maybe the date of when it was last saved?

Hope this is all the info you may need.

Many thanks

Andrew

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Yes...

How do you want to automatically find out?

For example:

I would like to click a button and run a macro that checks if certain files located in one folder have been modified since a certain date. The results would be a list of all files that meet this criteria.

I need to know whenever any workbook within a specific folder has been modified. The notification would be sent via email. We use Outlook as our email client. The results would basically be a summary activity report containing information such as "Time Saved" and "Saved by User"...

Please provide exactly what you want to do. It will take out the guesswork and you will get tons of replies!!! :)

Ok, sorry for not specifying the exact requirments. I think what you suggested would be perfect.

"I need to know whenever any workbook within a specific folder has been modified. The notification would be sent via email. We use Outlook as our email client. The results would basically be a summary activity report containing information such as "Time Saved" and "Saved by User"... "

I currently have some code which retrieves data from 73 files within one folder.

How would I go about this?

Thanks

Andrew
