I have a spreadsheet that requires lots of conditional formats, but these conditional formats are not based on row numbers they are based on text contained in a column.

I have about 5 different variables in column B, sometimes the variable is the only word in the cell sometimes it is one of about three words. I was wondering if there was an IF ... THEN statement that could be used so if a value in the cell was "something" then use this conditional format for cells blah blah blah. Then do this for each row.

This will just save me having to work through the spredsheet and fix the problems myself. When ever I make a change I have to check the entire spreadsheet for rows not correctly formatted.

For these examples they are all using multiple format on one cell, I would like to format certain cells in a row depending on the value in column B.

I'm using the following formula, it has been copied off a cell on row 8

=ISNUMBER(FIND("Engineering",$B8))

Using the examples above I can highlight the cells in column B depending on whats entered in the cell but I don't know how to highlight any of the other cells, I don't want to highlight the entire row either just certain cells in the row.
