I have a workbook that has links that I don't want but I can't seem to get rid of them, only change the source? Any suggestions?

Thanks

thanks but I'm not real keen on downloading a zip file and letting it rip. Do you know of any other way to get rid of the links?

Thanks

If you're worried about security, there's no need. The Add-In was developed by Hans Herber, a well respected Excel/VBA developer. It's also recommended by Bill Jelen (aka Mr. Excel).

I've used it on several occasions and it's probably the best method around.

You could try Microsoft's Delete Links Wizard, but it's nowhere near as good.

Otherwise you'll have to do it manually or write the VBA yourself.

If it's for one time use, open it and you'll find a Find Links menu under Tools. If you'll be needing it in the future, save it somewhere convenient, then goto Tools-->Add-Ins-->Browse-->Select the add-in and then check it once it's been added to your add-in list.
