I have a workbook that has several sheets. 40 of the sheets are combined into a summary sheet. I need help with a formula.

Here is what I need it to do:
On Sheet "1" if load date=6, then show B47
On Sheet "1" if return date =6, then show B47
On Sheet "1" if 6 is between load date and return date, then show B47.

Any suggestions?

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
what do you mean by load date, return date ?
what do you mean by "show" B47 ?

can you provide an example ?

kind regards,
Erik

Here are the 2 sheets:

Sheet "1"

A B C D
5 - S/R COLOR: WHITE
6 - LOAD DATE: 3(cell B6) RETURN DATE: (cell D6)7
7 - SHOW OPEN: 5(cell B7) SHOW CLOSE: (cell D7)6

8 - ITEM QTY. ITEM QTY.
9 - BLUE ARM CHAIR (cell B9)500 8' Beige B/W

On the other sheet, I have a column for each day of the month. I need to put a formula in the column for the 4th day of the month that shows the number in B9 in the columns for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th day of the month.

Not sure if that's a good example - but I need to have a formula for each day of the month that shows the amount in B9 in every day of the month between the value of B6 and D6.

Thanks, Lisa

Sorry,
I cannot make anything out of this
Didn't succeed to setup a sheet conform your data, nor to understand what you try to do.
Perhaps others do ?

please explain again with an example

use Colo's HTML Maker utility for displaying your Excel Worksheet on the board

On the "Excel Questions" main page there is a link to HTML Maker FAQ. You'll find out how to post correctly.
On the main page of the Forum there is a link to a Test here forum and a link to About this Board - to ask questions about HTLMMaker ...

kind regards,
Erik

I can't make heads or tails of what you are asking either.

are you looking for a conditional sum?

conditional formatting?

1) I would download Colo's utility at the bottom of the screen as Erik has suggested.

2) I would post a judicious screen shot of the cells in question.

3) I would post an example of what you would like your results to look like. (preferably another screen shot)

Thanks for your advise - I've downloaded as you suggested, but am not sure how to proceed with a screen shot - If you can tell me how to do that, I'll show you the examples....

LISA,

In my post you were provided some useful links. I'm quite sure you willl succeed to post with this wonderful feature.

kind regards,
Erik

This is not the forum to ask this question. Although it could cost you some time to figure out everything about htmlmaker, it will open for you a lot of possibilities in useful communication with other Boardmembers.

multiple if statements

Erik,

Thank you - I have been struggling with this formula for hours now. Thanks for your patience.

Here is sheet "1":

[HTML Maker example removed]

This shows the cells I'm talking about, Load Date and Return Date.

Here is the summary sheet:

multiple if statements

Erik,

It appears the whole message did not post, here is the remainder:

I'm trying to make a formula (maybe not the correct term) that will populate the summary sheet with the amount of blue arm chairs needed each day (1,2,3,4) starting with the load date and ending with the return date. Here is an example of what I want the end result to look like:
v1.xls
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUV
44BLUEARMCHAIR123456789101112131415161718
45#SHOWFACILITYQTY
461ONEHOTEL500000000000000500500500500500500
PROJECTION

Any ideas?

Lisa,

you're making progress
unfortunately you don't seem to have looked to all the links I suggested
It's impossible for me to make anything logic out of what shows up on screen.
I propose the following
delete your 2 last posts
Please enhance your htmlmaking abilities first using the test forum
look at the link on the Excel Questions mainpage regarding "&nbsp"
AND make an easy example of what you're trying to do

keep on going
finally you'll get what you're searching for !

kind regards,
Erik
